About

SiLNoRF is a network of 15 civil society organisations working to promote the right to food and responsible governance of land tenure in the context of food security in Sierra Leone.

Activities

Over the years, the network has played an active role in pushing for a responsible governance of land tenure in Sierra Leone that brought about the development of the National Land Policy (NLP) in the country.

We have also been actively involved in monitoring the impact of multinational companies’ operations on the livelihood of local communities through:

  • capacity building;
  • mobilisation;
  • sensitisation; and
  • research.

International reach

SiLNoRF is also a member of various international bodies working on food security, land governance and corporate accountability such as:

  • Global Convergence on Land Water and Seeds;
  • Civil Society Mechanism on World Food Security;
  • Economic Social and Cultural Rights Network;
  • Africa Coalition on Corporate Accountability etc.
